Players and coaches will stay busy in the coming months. Some dates are called "quiet" periods, when a player is allowed to make in-person visits to a college campus. Coaches are allowed to write or call, but can't visit a player's school or watch a game. That can change during "contact" periods. Other dates are referred to as "dead" periods, when coaches can't have personal contact with a player but may write or call him and his parents. Upcoming dates include:
