Amy Ehrlich

Pre-Grammar and Grammar School Art

Amy M. Ehrlich, founder of the Creative Arts Studio: School of Art and Gallery, is also an award winning artist and author of the children’s book, Yes, You Can Draw ! Amy holds a degree in Textiles and Design from the University of Missouri, with additional course study in art and education from the University of Texas, Louisiana Technical Institute, and the University of North Texas.

In 1999, Mrs. Ehrlich was added to the prestigious list of Texas artists that work with the Texas Commission on the Arts. In connection with this commission, she served as resident artist for Imagisphere Children’s Museum from 1999 to 2000 in North Richland Hills.

Mrs. Ehrlich is still a guiding force at the Creative Arts Studio in Colleyville and continues her journey as a professional artist.

This award winning artist works in all media, but is currently concentrating on water media creations. She has participated in many group shows throughout Texas, Missouri and Connecticut. She is a signature member of the Society of Watercolor Artists (SWA) and holds memberships in the Trinity Arts Guild, the Irving Arts Association, the Irving Arts Connection, and the Southwest Watercolor Society.

Carina Covington

Logic and Rhetoric School Art

Mrs. Covington joined the CCA faculty in 2006. She holds a BFA in Two Dimensional Design form Abilene Christian University. She also completed the necessary coursework to earn her Texas Educator's Certificate in All-Level Art. Mrs. Covington specializes in two dimensional facets of art such as drawing, painting and illustration, but she is also gifted in pottery, sculpture and graphic design. Mrs. Covington grew up in Botswana, Africa where her parents were missionaries for twelve years. While there, she traveled to many of the surrounding countries: South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Egypt and Israel. She also was given the opportunity to study in Oxford, England for a summer as a part of her ACU degree program. While there she was able to travel to France, Italy, and Scotland. She has also traveled to Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil all of which have given her an even greater love for art and history from all over the world. Mrs. Covington and her husband have been married for two years and share a desire to minister to children.
