Admissions Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do you have a waiting list and if so, how is it managed?
After a grade level is filled, we will maintain an unranked applicant pool. If a vacancy should occur, we will offer admission based on our admission requirements.

Are siblings guaranteed placement?
We give priority consideration to students of our current CCA families, if they meet our admission requirements.

May my child or I observe a class?
Yes, visitors are always welcome. Please call to schedule a campus visit.

Is it possible to enter CCA mid-year?
We may take mid-year students if they meet our admission requirements and as space is available.

Are you affiliated with Colleyville Presbyterian Church?
No, we are an independent, evangelical, Christian school. CCA was founded by Colleyville Presbyterian in 1979, and became independent in 2000. We currently share some of the same facilities.

Do your students wear uniforms?
Yes, Pre-K–Grade 12 wear uniforms purchased through Parker Uniforms. We have an everyday uniform and a formal uniform to wear on chapel day. On Cougar Spirit Days, students have the option to wear Cougar Spirit wear in support of our athletic programs and Pep Rallies.

Do you have a hot lunch program?
Yes, we have a volunteer-run, hot lunch program. Hot lunch is pre-ordered, one month at a time and served daily to Pre-K–Grade 12. Food vendors include: Chick-fil-a, Subway, Pizza Garden, Panda Express, Chicken Express, Arby’s, Taco Casa, Schlotzsky’s, and Dickey’s BBQ.

What grade do organized athletics begin?
Organized athletics start in Grades 7–12 for boys and girls.

Do you have organized meetings for parents and teachers?
Yes, we have an annual State of the Academy meeting and also a Parent Advisory Counsel that meet at selected times during the year to serve as a liaison between the Board of Directors and the CCA community. In addition, we have Support Our School (SOS), an organization where parents serve as coordinators to organize volunteers for a variety of events and programs at our school.

Is after-school care available?
We are currently researching after-school care options. Please check back for more information.

Do you offer a summer enrichment program?
